Hey I've been reading for awhile but finally got on so I can say something but I don't know where to say it. I drive a Rocsta made by Asia Motors it's a 4clyinder Mazda motor in a CJ7 copy body. It goes pretty good. A few other guys in the forum go out with me one in a zook and the other in a Gq but there an't no Asia forum I must be the first. |

Join the club. I have a ford raider and there is nowhere for Ford Courier/Raider or Mazda B2600. Maybe another area could be made up and just titled "Other Marques".
Just a thought |

I had a rocsta once, a trayback one, had about another half metre of wheelbase over the stnadrad ones, and a removable fibreglass roof and rear section. little 4cyl diesel. wasn't a bad truck apart from all the shit that kept breaking on it.
asia (now kia, I think) actually bought all the old CJ stamping plant of chrysler, so it isn;t really a CJ copy body, pretty much a genuine CJ body, just stamped in a different country.
do you know who makes the front axle? the rest of the running gear is mazda, but mazda don't do a live axle front end... |

Mines a 1.8l petrol and Danna make the diffs(hang on made under lisence buy Kia with metric bolts) A danna 25 front and 27 rear.
I live in brissy and love it
I've never called the Rocksta a Jeep but others do.Rocsta's are 4bangers and leaf sprung very different to a wrangler.
Do you know if the transfer case swaps over to any Mazda stuff, I run 31's and want to go slower. How about the deisel diffs what ratio are they?
Thanks for making me feel so welcome. As for Lexx the jeep owner I can give as good as get. |

Yes, yes I know, "unclean - unclean" but at least you could keep an eye on us |

Hmmm what a pity they don't have a front D-44 with metric bolts, about the perfect width for a Jabber |

I'm sure there was a Ford section created a while back- but it seems to have disappeared???
An "Other Makes" section would be good for all you guys/ girls who are homeless! May be try contacting one of the Administrators, eg RUFF who's online at the moment, and pose the question. |

The ford section was removed because there was no interest in it. There were aprox 10 threads in there and the area had been dormant for at least 3 months before being removed.
The problem with an "OTHER MAKES" section is guys then come here and think "there is no place for me here so im not going to post" there was an Other Makes section on the Snake Racing forum and it was never used..................
Actually i have given this some thought while i was typing this reply and i will open a Other Makes section but if it doesnt take off within a couple of months the posts from that section will be moved to General Tech and the section will be removed. If one brand dominates then we will set up a section for them.
I dont know maybe i will be surprised |
