Well spat another rear uni last week (diff end) with the rumble of the Simex's I couldn't tell until it was squawking it's head off.
I took it to a bloke I know as I just didn't have time to do it myself.
I asked him to do a bit of shopping around and he found a Hardy Spicer unit (part no RUJ 3006) for $80 (factory around $100) which is a direct relacement. These are better than the factory uni in that they have a pressed in rubber seal in the bearing caps, much more mud/crap proof than the Mitsu ones. Also has a grease nipple. Due to the angle mine runs on and the mud I drive it is basically a consumable item now.
The last one (factory) lasted 2 years (regularly greased) so we will see how long this one lasts.
