Hi all. Wasn't too sure which forum/section to try and get an answer off, as its a bit of an oddball, and i want some info of Aussies that've been there-done that.

Its time for new tyres (and maybe wheels) for my XF. There's so much to choose from, and so many biased opinions out there that i'm stuck for choice. My current modified XF1 Chevron tyre/Dragway rims package is ok, but not soft and grippy enough. Here's some direction for your suggestions:

- Truck is a weekend/spare time snig bus (not a comp truck)
- Gets used indoors and out (80% outdoors)
- Doesn't bother me if i keep/chuck the old wheels/tyres
- I want something fairly big and beefy for looks and function
- Must be easily obtainable
- Can't be TOO expensive

I realise that i'll most likely have to get a bigger hex conversion set to run different wheels (thats why i'd like to TRY and keep my XTM ones). Bit hard to pick it, but this one in the US has a nice wheel/tyre setup:

Any help or suggestions is much appreciated!!

Cheers - Coxy

Had a look at the Moabs, not too bad. I was also thinking about something like these:

or

Thorpy reckons they're phat. So do I. Bigger is better. As long as they bag out on the sidewalls really well i'd be happy.

Kong's are HUGE, most say to big Very Happy , but that is personal prefence a kong wont hook up as well as a Moab on any thing exept mud.

If you're truck is playing in mud alot get the Swamp Kong's, if it's rocks that you play on go the Moabs

Do i remember reading an online forum in the past somewhere where they were saying that if you were looking at getting into crawling etc. that you DONT get 40 series wheels/tyres? Going by whats on the market i'd say that they're one of the most popular going around.

I've been looking at the ProLine moabs again, and i have been looking around at online hobby stores/ebay etc, but from "proper" retail/hobby stores, what sort of $$$ would be reasonable for a set of Moab XL's and the matching ProLine Cheyenne beadlocks?

Cheers again guys! - Coxy

PS. Thanks for the help, Santa will be good to you this xmas.
